Consigning with us means that, through our contract, we take care of selling your bridal gown and formal wear for you—eliminating the stress and hassle while ensuring your pieces find their next perfect owner. Your gown and other accepted items remain on loan with us, giving them the opportunity to shine once more.

It is so simple! The only thing you really need to do, is we ask that the gown is cleaned. Once the gown is clean and even mended, if necessary (the better shape of the gown the better price we will be able to put onto it). It is not a requirement for you to get anything mended. You bring the gown into our store; I will look up the gown well you look over our 1-page contract. Our consignment appoitments last about 15-20 minutes with expections of course.

Generally speaking, unaltered styles can sell for 20-30% off retail. This depends on a couple things like trend, active/discontinued style, and designer and even age of the gown. 

Altered/worn gowns can sell for about 40-50% off its retail price. This also depends on trend, active/discontinued style, designer, but most importantly alterations made on the gown.

All of these percentages do have the ability to flucate both up and down. 

Along with our industry knowledge, The ReFinery will do research to ensure we are pricing your item for a fast sale.

You, the consignee, will make 50% of the sale while, The ReFinery consignor, will keep 50% of the sale of a bridal gown. When consigning other items at The ReFinery there is a 40% payout to the consignee.  Price breakdown varies by original price of the gown & current market value. When we are pricing items, it will range from 50-70% of retail with that possibly flucuating both up and down. 

With our consignment model, gowns and accessories are on “loan” to The ReFiery to sell on behalf of the seller. We use our resources and expertise to get the item sold and when it does, there is 50/50% split. We do not purchase items outright.

No, we do not offer multi-platform selling. Our ability to sell items faster than other second-hand platforms comes from housing the gowns and formalwear in our boutique, allowing brides to experience them in person. When you consign with The ReFinery, you agree to the exclusive sale of your item with us until the consignment agreement ends.

The simple answer is, yes! Absolutely you can! Alterations, condition, and others features factor into it after you purchased it at our boutique.
